This Privacy Policy describes how the “WhatsApp Bulk Sender from Google Sheets” extension (“the extension”, “we”) handles information when you use it in your Chrome or Edge browser.

1. Summary

The extension runs entirely inside your browser. We do not operate our own servers, we do not run any external database, and we do not collect, sell, or share your information with third parties. All data processing happens locally on your device.

2. What data the extension handles

To fulfill its single purpose — reading contacts from a Google Sheet and sending them messages via WhatsApp — the extension processes:

  • Phone numbers: the ones you enter yourself in column A of your Google Sheet.
  • Message text: the content you write in column B of your Google Sheet, which is sent as a WhatsApp chat message.

This information comes only from the spreadsheet you voluntarily point the extension to; the extension does not access any other sheet, document, or data from your Google account.

3. How this information is used

  • Phone numbers and messages are read from your Google Sheet to build the sending list.
  • Each message is sent automatically through WhatsApp Web, by navigating to web.whatsapp.com/send?phone=... and clicking “Send”, the same way you would do it manually.
  • The extension stores locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) a record of the phone numbers that have already received a message, to avoid duplicate sends if you reload the same sheet.
  • It also stores the current campaign’s progress locally (contact queue, pause/resume state, delay settings) so you can pause and resume without losing progress.

4. Where the data is stored

All information is stored exclusively in your browser’s local storage (chrome.storage.local), tied to your Chrome/Edge profile.

  • It is never sent to any server of ours.
  • It is never shared with third parties, sold, or used for advertising or analytics purposes.
  • If you uninstall the extension or switch browser/profile/device, this local data is lost.

5. Third-party services involved

The extension interacts with two domains, both necessary for its functionality and controlled by their respective owners (Google and WhatsApp/Meta), not by us:

  • Google Sheets (docs.google.com): used to read the public spreadsheet you share (shared as “Anyone with the link: Viewer”), without any login or OAuth.
  • WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com): used with your already-logged-in WhatsApp Web session to send messages, exactly as if you sent them manually.

Use of these services is also subject to Google’s and WhatsApp/Meta’s own privacy policies.

7. Your rights and control over your data

  • You can clear the “already sent” history at any time using the “Forget sent contacts” button inside the extension.
  • You can remove all stored information by uninstalling the extension.
  • Since all data stays in your own browser, you have full control over it at all times.

8. Responsible use

This extension is intended for sending messages to contacts who have given their consent to receive them. Sending unsolicited bulk messages may violate WhatsApp’s Terms of Service and put the sender’s number at risk. Use of the extension is the sole responsibility of the user.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this same page, with the “Last updated” date at the top.
